Description (Research Associate-I, SRF & JRF):

Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates to work in ongoing NMHS project.

Junior Research Fellow (01)| Senior Research Fellow (1)

Essential Qualifications:

Postgraduate Degree (with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent) in Professional Courses in Civil Engg./Water Resources/Hydrology/Agricultural Engg./Geomatics/Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing and GIS OR Postgraduate degree (with minimum of 55% marks) in Environmental Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology.

The NET/GATE qualification is mandatory for application.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in High Performance Computing system, handling climate data, numerical and hydrological modelling and computer skills with additional experience in climate data visualization tools.

Age Limit:

The upper age limit for the post is 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Salary: 28000/31000+HRA (fixed as per funding agency)

Research Associate-I (01)

Essential Qualifications:

Ph.D degree in Civil Engg./Water Resources or Sciences OR M.E/M.Tech. in Civil Engg./ Water Resources Engg./Hydrology/Soil & Water Conservation Engg./Earth Sciences/ Geoinformatics having 3 years of research experience, with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in Himalayan field monitoring and modelling of permafrost environment.

Job Requirement:

The selected candidates will be required to collect field data from the Himalayan and perform data analysis, permafrost modelling. Project includes extensive field work at high altitude and remote locations in Ladakh for different durations.

Age Limit:

The upper age limit for the post is 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Salary: 47000+HRA (fixed as per funding agency grant)
