The Role
Spotless is the lead contractor for the Estate
Maintenance and Operation Services (EMOS) to the Department of Defence in
Queensland and Southern New South Wales.
We currently have an opportunity for a
self-motivated, reliable Environmental Supervisor who will
have overall responsibility for the delivery of all environmental project
aspects of the Land Management and Capability services we provide.
This full-time role will report to the
Environmental Coordinator and will be responsible for the delivery of a range
of environmental services including, but not limited to:
- Development of any tender documentation for
Environmental Works, tender, Evaluate and engage as required, including
support with preparation and delivery to other subRegions as required;
- Ensuring all subsequent works undertaken by
staff and Subcontractors/SMEs are in accordance with the Contract and site
specific Environmental Management Plan/s with deliverables;
- Responsibility for assisting with preparation
and implementation of an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) within the
Spotless Environmental Management System Framework with reference to the
Defence Environmental Management System (EMS) and Environmental Clearance
Certificate (ECC) System;
- Research and facilitate Ecologically
Sustainable Development processes;
- Assist in the implementation of the Spotless
Environmental Policy and other related initiatives;
- Undertake Environmental management audits as
required by the Spotless Environmental Management System and Defence;
- Carry out specific Environmental Inductions
for all new employees and Subcontractors/SMEs;
- Apply business and financial controls to
aspects of environmental service delivery;
Skills and
Experience
- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian
Citizenship Mandatory);
- Tertiary Qualifications in Environmental
Science or related fields (Mandatory);
- 5+ Years Demonstrable experience in
Environmental Project Management and Delivery (Mandatory);
- Knowledge of, or experience in, the Defence
industry (Preferred);
- Involvement /affiliation with relevant
Environmental panels or committees to help maximise industry networking
and ensure technical cross pollination (Preferred)
- Knowledge of the relevant Environmental
legislation;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills;
- Experience and proven ability in the provision
of sound advice to management;
- Demonstrated project, contract and quality
management experience;
- Must hold a current Australian Drivers
Licence;
The successful candidates will possess a strong
work ethic, demonstrable field experience in fire, weed management and feral
animal management, achieve the highest level of safety, quality of work and
have a genuine passion for excellent customer service.
