Duties/Abilities
This role’s focus area is leading a small team of staff
responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of natural resource and
pest management activities across the South West Region. This work is
undertaken in collaboration with operational staff who are responsible for the
day-to-day management of our estate areas.
The position is required to: lead
the strategic management and delivery of natural resource and pest projects;
provide expert advice on natural resource and pest management; prepare briefing
notes and other correspondence; report on programs and budgets; prepare and
manage contracts; and liaise with a range of internal and external clients to
ensure successful delivery of the region’s natural resource and pest management
activities.
This role also has the accountability for regional firearms
coordination which encompasses the provision of technical advice on department
firearms and ensuring legislative and policy requirements are upheld.
