Position under DST- SERB Funded Project (Advanced Geospatial Application Group, Punjab Remote Sensing
Centre)
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow
(JRF) under Department of Science and Technology (DST)-Science &
Engineering Research Board (SERB) funded project entitled “Modelling the effects of landuse
changes on soil organic carbon dynamics using geospatial technology” at Punjab Remote Sensing Centre, Ludhiana, Punjab. The Walk-in Selection Process includes
Written Test/Practical Test/ Interview.

Essential
Qualifications:
a.
First Class Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering
b.
First Class Postgraduate degree
in Environmental Sciences/ Earth Sciences/Agricultural Sciences and CSIR/UGC/ICAR-NET/GATE
OR
a.
First Class Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering
b.
First Class Postgraduate degree
in Remote Sensing and GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Geospatial Technology (or related
Geospatial domain subjects) and CSIR/UGC/ICAR-NET/GATE
Monthly Emoluments: Rs 31,000 + HRA
Desirable
I.
Proficiency in GIS and Image
Processing Software’s. AI, ML, Big data analytics as advantage
II. Experience in interpretation of data and writing reports/papers in
peer reviewed journals

will have to be updated in the application form submitted online on or before
due dates given in the last column to be eligible for selection process.
Note: Candidates those who cannot produce original
degrees (including Provisional Degree Certificate - PDC), Date of Birth,
conversion factor of CGPA and Mark sheets etc. will not be entertained.
· Age limit: Not more than 37 years on the last date of submission of
application. Relaxation in age as per rules.

Candidate having more
experience and qualifications in relevant field and meeting all criteria as
prescribed against post shall be given weightage.
