Walk-in-Interview will be conducted for the following assignment in a time bound research project undertaken in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences of the Institute for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project.

Job Description

Research work related to project. Candidate may register for Ph.D. at NIT Rourkela.

Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship

Rs. 31000/- per month 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35000/- per month in 3rd year for candidates with M.Sc. or M.Sc. Tech. or M.Tech. However, if a candidate is having three years of research experience after M.Sc./M.Tech. or has submitted Ph.D. thesis may be offered a monthly fellowship of Rs. 35000/- from the day of the appointment/joining.

Essential Qualifications and experience

First division throughout carrier with 65% marks or above in M.Sc. or M.Sc. Tech. or M.Tech. (Atmospheric Science /Meteorology /Oceanography /Physics /Mathematics /Environmental Science /Climate Science /Earth System Science/ Remote Sensing and GIS /Geoinformatics /Applied Geophysics /Equivalent). Candidates with relevant background, who have submitted their Ph.D. can also apply for this position.

Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences

Working experience in MatLab /PYTHON /LINUX /WRF model /Remote Sensing and GIS software, and basic understanding of Atmospheric Science.
