Job Description (Research Associate):

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate (RA-1) in a Department of Science & Technology (DST) sponsored project, “Development of AI based DSS for Improved Crop Water Use Efficiency under Regulated Deficit Drip Irrigation Regime in the Backdrop of Climate Change”, under the Principal Investigator, Dr. Gopal Das Singhal, Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar 201314 (U.P.). The position is temporary and is available immediately. 

Essential qualification: Ph.D. or minimum three years of research, design & development experience after M.Sc./ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in SCI index journal in the below-mentioned areas:

Water Resources/Agriculture Engineering/Remote Sensing & GIS/Computer Science & Engineering/Electronic Engineering

Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having prior experience in the area of Numerical modelling/PYTHON Language/MATLAB/Machine learning/Artificial Neural Network/ Internet of Things.

Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- pm + 8% HRA (as per DST norms) based on educational qualification and experience

Duration: 9 Months (purely temporary) and may be extendable.

Project Description: The project aims to develop AI-based model for improved crop water use efficiency under with agriculture field data, remote sensing and physiological parameters for different seasons.
