ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) AND FIELD CUM LAB ATTENDANT (FCLA) UNDER “DST’s CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE ON WATER RESOURCES, CRYOSPHERE AND CLIMATE CHANGE STUDIES”
An online
interview will be conducted as per the date & time given in the schedule
mentioned below for the appointment of different research positions Junior
Research Fellow (02 post) and Field cum Lab Attendant (01 post) in the research
project titled “DST’s CENTRE OF
EXCELLENCE ON WATER RESOURCES, CRYOSPHERE AND CLIMATE CHANGE
STUDIES” in the Department of Geology, Sikkim University. The appointment
will be made initially for 3 months and can be extended till the completion of
the project, subjected to the satisfactory performances. The positions are of
purely temporary nature and will co-terminus with the project. The details of
the positions are mentioned below:
1. Position: Junior Research Fellow
(JRF): 02 (two)
Number
of Vacancy: 02 (two)
Essential qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Environmental
Sciences/Glaciology/ Geophysics/Remote Sensing and
GIS/Geo-informatics/Sciences/any other relevant disciplines with NET/GATE or
any national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and
their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR,
ICMR, IIT, IISc., IISER, etc.
Desirable qualification: Experience in climate change studies,
glacial studies, mathematical modeling, chemical analysis, remote sensing and
GIS software and data interpretation.
Remuneration: Rs.31, 000.00 + 8% HRA per month for first two years and
Rs.35,000.00 + 8% HRA for third year onwards subjected to satisfactory
performance.
2. Position: Field cum Lab Attendant
(FCLA): 01 (one)
Number of Vacancy: 01 (one)
Essential qualifications: Graduate degree
in relevant disciplines.
Maximum Age: 50 Years
Desirable qualification: Working experience in hydro-geochemistry/environmental
pollution/analytical instruments/glaciers
Remuneration:
Rs.
18000 +8% HRA
