(RS & GIS)
ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Regional Centre, Kolkata requires the
following officials for the project “Rejuvenating Watershed for Agricultural
Resilience through Innovative Development (REWARD)”. Interested candidates
fulfilling below mentioned qualifications should send their application through

Essential Qualification: Post-Graduate in Agricultural
Sciences/Basic Sciences/ Geology/Geography/Remote Sensing &
GIS/Geo-informatics/Computer Science with at least 2 years experience in the
respective discipline or Bachelor degree in Engineering as per ICAR rules.
2. Desirable Qualification:
(i)) Working knowledge in management and analysis in GIS
& Remote Sensing based Software.
Working knowledge in mapping of Landform, Land Use Land
Cover, DEM/DTM generation and Soil Resource based mapping. Preference will be
given to experienced candidates who have worked in similar institute and in
similar areas.
Well versed in Computer Programming/Decision Support System
(DSS)/R-Analysis
Language: Knowledge of Bengali, Hindi or English
(fluency in speaking and writing).
Emoluments: Rs.35,000/- consolidated.
Job Description: Remote sensing data interpretation,
Computer programming, preparation of DSS, Detailed project report, computer
based data management, statistical analysis using R, Report writing.
Job Duration: 60 months or until termination of the project
whichever is earlier. Position to be renewed every year based on performance.

laboratory.
Language: Knowledge of Bengali, Hindi, English (fluency
in speaking and writing).

Job Description: Physical, chemical and analytical
works in lab, data analysis, data interpretation, report writing, etc.
Job Duration: 60 months or until termination of the project

Emoluments: Rs.22, 000/-
Job Description: Accounts handling, administrative
works related to the project, PFMS handling
Job Duration: 60 months or until termination of the project
whichever is earlier. Position to be renewed every year based on performance.

Terms & conditions:
Minimum age limit is 22 years and maximum age limit is 40
years on the date of interview (relaxation as per various categories instituted
by the Government from time-to-time).
The initial appointment will be made for one year or earlier
whichever is less and may be extended further based on the satisfactory
performance of the candidate and requirement of the project.
Candidates who are employed in Govt. organization should
produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Employer and experience
certificate in original at the time of interview.
This office reserves the right to select candidates for
interview as well as for finalselection. Only those candidates will be allowed
to appear for interview who have sent all the documents as per their original
certificates which will be confirmed at the time appointment.
The post is purely on contractual basis and of temporary
nature. Selected candidates will not be entitled to any claim for regular
appointment/absorption either in this Institute or in ICAR.
The person employed will have no right to claim employment
or engagement in ICAR at the end of the contract period.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
Selected candidates will not be liable to bear any
expenditure on pension contribution/leave salary contribution/ Provident Fund,
ESI etc.
Place of posting will be ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Regional Centre,
Block-DK, Sector-II, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700091.

candidature. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respect.
The Director/PI reserve the right to cancel/postpone the
interview without assigning any reason thereof.
