The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier
autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate
Change, Government of India, that works towards strengthening wildlife
conservation in India and South Asia through training, education, research and
advisory services.
The institute has been assigned the task of assessing the
status of 18 rare/ endangered / threatened species and monitor their population
/ habitats at regular intervals of time. The institute plans to engage a total
of 58 Project Personnel (Indian Nationals only) purely on contractual basis for
the Project ‘Pan India Assessment and Monitoring of Endangered Species covered
under the Integrated Development of Wildlife Habitats (IDWH)’. This includes:
Project Scientist–II / Project Scientist-I (03 positions), Principal Project
Associate (01 position), Senior Project Associate (02 positions), Project
Associate – II (05 positions), Project Associate-I (43 positions), and Project
Assistants (04 positions).
